When the ball was last played by an attacking player another attacking player was clearly in an offside position. While it isn't an offense to simply be in that position, there is no call yet. Once the defender plays the ball (but in my opinion, doesn't control it) the attacking player then gains an advantage from being in that position. Therefore, the AR should have called for the offside at that point.
ReplyDeleteNot offside. The defender clearly intended to head the ball to his keeper. The attacker wisely intercepted it.
ReplyDeleteAgree with second post, clearly an intentional play by defender who did not first look to see that, unfortunately for him, there was an attacker there...no offside...good goal
